The Digital Media Awards 2022 were held on Friday 24th June at the Movenpick Hotel in Westlands. The event was graced by the presence of Kenya’s most outstanding digital marketing agencies and digital media personalities.
We too were there, not just to witness the recognition of the achievement of the best agencies, but also to scoop up some awards and earn a place in the big league. We were armed with a set of three entries nominated in different categories: best use of live streaming/hangouts, best influencer marketing campaign, and Eskimi advanced audience targeting.
DMA – Digital Media Awards acknowledges brands, agencies, and individuals who demonstrate creativity and innovation when delivering campaigns while embracing new innovations in the digital technology space over the previous year. DMA has contributed to the improvement of digital marketing standards in Kenya by compelling agencies to create unique, original, and impactful digital campaigns.
Meanwhile, The Digital Monkeys, founded around the same time DMA was conceived, has been steadily transitioning from a little-known agency around the block to competing with the most reputable digital agencies in the country. Having worked on ambitious campaigns for top brands in the country, it was only about time that TDM stormed the high table.
And indeed, we claimed our spot at the high table in an award ceremony previously dominated by a handful of players. TDM scooped Eskimi Advanced Audience Targeting Award, demonstrating unmatched specialty in driving campaign performance and brand lift using behavioral and tech targeting.
To top it up, we took home the 1st runners-up New Technology Awards in the Best use of Live streaming/Hangouts, and the 2nd runners-up Agency Awards in Best Influencer Marketing Campaign of The Year. Three awards in the three categories we submitted entries.
For first-timers, this is a momentous achievement and a confirmation stamp for the fastest-growing digital agency in the region. Yet this recognition only marks the beginning of our readiness to take on bigger and more ambitious projects. Our dedication to delivering outstanding services and motivation to create an impact through all our campaigns continues to be the foundation of our every move.
